What it is

A financial-market analysis system for South African equities, covering data ingestion, signal generation, and systematic coverage of a regional market that off-the-shelf platforms mostly skip.

What I built

An ingestion layer for South African equity market data.
Signal generation on top of that data, applying the systematic treatment larger markets get as a matter of course.
Coverage across the market rather than a handful of well-followed names.

Findings

What held up

Regional markets are underserved. Data is harder to source and less clean, and commercial platforms mostly skip these exchanges. Building the ingestion layer directly is what makes systematic coverage possible here at all.

Breadth over cherry-picking. Covering the market rather than the popular names is what separates a research system from a watchlist.
